Culture Trail of Routes 2 Roots in August

Routes 2 Roots workshops continued to blaze the trail in the month of August with Classical dance and music exponents on the NGO’s panel visiting schools to educate students across India. The workshops of August were a mélange of various artistes and disciplines.
Bharatnatyam workshops were conducted in Nellore, Venkatagiri and Anantapur in Andhra Pradesh as well as Chennai, Tirupati, Kalpakkam, Neyveli, Karaikal, Thanjavur, Trichy, Parambalur, Mandapam, Karaikudi, Rameswaram, Nagarcoil, Vijayanarayanam in Tamil Nadu and Chandigarh and Mohali in Punjab.
Hindustani Classical Vocal music workshops were held in schools of Pathankot, Hussainpur, Bhunga, Kapurthala, Jalandhar and Adampur in Punjab as well as Allahabad, Varanasi, Mau, Azamgarh, Chero Salempur, Gorakhpur, Basti, Gonda, Sultanpur and Siddharthnagar in Uttar Pradesh.
Schools of Bhatinda, Gurdaspur, Fazilka, Amritsar, Fatehgarh Sahib, Dapper, Ubhawal, Nabha and Longowal in Punjab were regaled with Odissi workshops.
