Routes 2 Roots announced the opening of the 14th edition of its much-awaited All India Inter-School competition, which will hereafter be an annual contest. Students from all over the country send video entries of their performances in Classical music and dance, folk forms of dance and music as well as lighter forms of the disciplines to Routes 2 Roots in vast numbers. These are seen and evaluated by the esteemed faculty and team members of the NGO and the finest among these are awarded with high value prizes, while all the participating students are given certificates for their effort in a bid to encourage the students to learn about the rich cultural heritage of India. The competition is open under three categories created on the basis of age to create a level playing field for all competitors from elementary to high school. Entries have already started pouring in and it promises to be an exciting if not tough time for the judges who will be evaluating the rich pool of talent this year.
