Winter Workshops Spread Cultural Cheer Across Parts of India

Routes 2 Roots gurus spread winter cheer in schools across various states of India by conducting cultural workshops of dance forms including Kathak, Bharatnatyam and Odissi. These workshops, attended in large numbers by students in schools, educated them about the dance forms through lecture and demonstration and also worked as training sessions as the gurus taught them the fundamental concepts of the art form. Kathak workshops were held in Mau, Azamgarh, Gorakhpur, Siddharthnagar and Basti in Uttar Pradesh, Nasik and Devlali in Maharashtra as well as Kondagaon, Narayanpur, Jagdalpur, Dantewada, Bacheli, Bijapur, Kirandul and Sukma in Chhattisgarh. Bharatnatyam workshops were conducted in the schools of Bhandara, Nagpur, Wardha, Chandrapur, Yavatmal, Washim, Mudkhed and Chakur in Maharashtra as well as Kashipur, Ranikhet, Almora, Mukteshwar, Haldwani, Banbasa, Mirthi and Dharchula in Uttarakhand The students of schools in Eluru, Tenali and Ongole in Andhra Pradesh and Mahabubabad, Khammam, Miryalaguda, Nalgonda, Sircilla, Karimnagar and Mancherial in Telangana had the pleasure of attending Odissi workshops.
