After the stupendous success of the pilot project of Kathak classes and following resounding demand for more, Routes 2 Roots and the Indian Council for Cultural Relations are starting live interactive classes in various performing Arts disciplines
for students worldwide. Students of the Indian diaspora and other nationalities in 34 countries attended the pilot, which ran for three months and featured Kathak classes. Starting in November, Bharatnatyam, Kathak and Odissi classes will
commence, followed by other disciplines. Leading exponents of the art forms from India will conduct the classes. The participating students will be evaluated at the end of the year and officially certified for their participation by the Centre
for Cultural Resources & Training (CCRT), which is the leading body for cultural training and facilitating education under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. With this endeavour, not only does the Cultural Education program of Routes
2 Roots expand its educational initiative to newer territories in the global sphere, where it has already made a mark, but it also strengthens its ties with both ICCR and CCRT which have been long-standing partners of the NGO since its inception
and in recent years too.
