Cultural Workshops Dazzle Students Across the Country


Making culture reach the remote interiors of the country is one of the biggest priorities of this Cultural Education program. Keeping the objective in mind workshops were organised in various far flung regions of different states this month. Let’s have a look at the cultural map of Routes 2 Roots in August:

Bharatnatyam workshops were organised in Adampur, Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Hussainpur, Halwara, Patiala and Sangrur in Punjab. There were others in Agra, Hazratpur, Etah, Mathura, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Hindan and Baghpat in Uttar Pradesh as well.




Orissa saw a smattering of workshops of different disciplines including Kathak in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Angul, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Kandhmal, Boudh, Sonepur, Bargarh, Bolangir, Nuapada, Bhawanipatna, Dharamgarh, Nabarangpur, Koraput, Rayagada and Gajapati. Hindustani Classical Vocal workshops were organised in INS Chilka, Aska, Hinjilicut and Barhampur in the state, while Odissi workshops were conducted by our gurus in Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Kutra, Bondamunda, Rourkela, Rairangpur, Baripada, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Paradip Port and Puri in Orissa.


Hindustani Classical Vocal & Kathak workshops were organised in Jodhpur, Deogarh, Uttarlai, Barmer, Ramgarh and Bikaner and Jaipur and Dausa respectively in Rajasthan. Kathak and Hindustani Classical music workshops were also organised in Kadarpur, Gurugram and Delhi in NCR.
