Juhi Chawla is an Indian actor, model, film producer and the winner of Miss India beauty contest, 1984. She has a vast repertoire of films predominantly in Hindi, in addition to Punjabi, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Bengali. The actors highly successful tragic romance movie Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak(1988), won her the Filmfare Award for Lux New Face of the Year. In addition to being an actor, she is a television personality, a humanitarian, anaccomplished dancer and an accomplished classical singer. She has to her credit, the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Awards for Best Actor; being a judge for entertainment show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa alongside Saroj Khan and Vaibhavi Merchant. A producer, co-owner of a production company called Dreamz Unlimited with actor Shahrukh Khan and director Aziz Mirza Juhi Chawla has been associated with a number of charities and social causes. She espouses the fight against the deadly disease thalassaemia and has worked to organize events to raise money for the same. In November 2015, she was bestowed with Indira Gandhi Memorial Award in Social Awareness for her active participation and selfless efforts towards creating awareness about the health hazards caused due to mobile tower antennae radiatione.
